River Allure

River Allure is a sort of visual pun, with river images that may be wedges of floating ice, a fish or lure and a tangle of line.

Inspired by river and water images. Sections are assembled and rotate on a vertical axis. Pine wedges near the bottom resemble ice fragments. Middle form is figured black walnut with locust and ebony. It inveigles a fishing lure form as do the various baubles. Upper form is bent copper with a bronze bauble and blue-green patina.

Wood types: Mulberry, cedar, black ash, butternut, black walnut, locust, ebony, spalted white pine, elm, yellow birch (burnt and stained). Base burnt and brushed. Yellow birch with pickled oak Varathane stain (white highlights).
